- 200 grams room temperature butter
- 100 grams speculaas butter
- 85 grams white caster sugar
- 80 grams granulated sugar
- 1 sachet vanilla sugar
- pinch of salt
- 1 beaten egg
- 320 grams flour
Requirements
- Mix the butter with the sugar and salt and, when mixed, add the speculaas paste.
- Add the flour and knead the mixture until it becomes a coherent mass.
- Cover the mixing bowl with a tea towel and let the dough rest in the refrigerator for an hour.
- Press the dough into the greased buttercake pan. Don’t have one? A closed quiche mold works fine as well.
- Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
- Brush the top of the buttercake with a beaten egg.
- You can put it in the oven like this, but it is more fun to make a nice pattern in it. You can do this with a fork.
- Bake the buttercake in the oven for about 20 minutes.
- Is it done? Then let it cool down.
- Share it around!
