Tasty marble cake

This marble cake with speculaas is really delicious to go with a cup of coffee or tea. In addition, it also looks super cute!

    Requirements

  • 320 grams flour
  • 175 grams sugar
  • 35 grams cornstarch
  • One bag (15 grams) baking powder
  • A pinch of baking soda
  • A pinch of salt
  • 300 ml (plant-based) milk
  • 140 ml sunflower oil
  • 1-2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • A dash of vanilla flavor
  • A teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 8 crumbled speculaas cookies from De Ruiter’s
  • 3 tablespoons speculaas paste from De Ruiter’s
  1. Turn on your oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  1. Line your baking tin with parchment paper.
  1. Add the flour, sugar, cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda and salt to a mixing bowl and stir well.
  1. Now add in all the wet ingredients (except the speculaas paste).
  1. Divide the batter between two mixing bowls. Leave one as is and add the cinnamon and speculaas crumbs and spread to the other. Mix well.
  1. Scoop the batter spoon by spoon into your baking tin. To do this, take turns at the differently made batter. This will create very thin layers of different colors.
  1. Bake the cake for about 45-50 minutes in the oven, until a skewer comes out clean.
  1. Let the cake cool for at least half an hour before cutting and serving.
